MOTwise is the service name. General, support and legal enquiries can be sent to motwiseai@gmail.com. Pre-launch legal completion required: before public production launch these terms must also state the full legal name of the person or organisation providing MOTwise. The service must not be publicly launched until that legal operator identity is published and consistent with the Privacy Notice.
The current core vehicle-check service is offered without an account and without a charge unless a feature clearly states otherwise before you use it. If MOTwise later introduces paid services, subscriptions or purchases, additional price, cancellation and payment terms must be presented before a customer becomes bound.
Results depend on the information made available by official and other configured sources at the time of the lookup. Records can be incomplete, delayed, unavailable or later corrected. MOTwise does not control those source records.
Health scores, MOTwise risk, recommendations, confidence indicators, valuations, depreciation, repair outlooks and ownership forecasts are MOTwise interpretations or estimates based on the evidence available. They are not DVSA or DVLA ratings, warranties, professional valuations, mechanical inspections or guarantees of future condition or cost.
AI-assisted explanations may summarise or interpret the supplied vehicle evidence and can make mistakes. Check important facts against the source records and obtain professional advice where appropriate. MOTwise does not present AI output as proof that a vehicle is safe, roadworthy, debt-free or accurately described.
Before buying a vehicle, verify identity and seller authority, physical/mechanical condition, service history, outstanding finance, theft status, insurance write-off/category history and any seller representations that matter to your decision. Consider an independent inspection where appropriate.
Do not misuse the service, attempt to bypass access controls or rate limits, interfere with the service, submit unlawful material, or use automated traffic in a way that harms MOTwise or its data providers. Access may be limited where reasonably necessary to protect service security, availability, users or providers.
We aim to keep MOTwise available but cannot promise uninterrupted access because availability can depend on hosting and external data services. We may make reasonable changes to improve, secure or maintain the service. Where a change materially affects a paid consumer service in future, applicable consumer-law requirements will apply.
MOTwise branding, interface and original analysis remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Vehicle and MOT source data, manufacturer marks, and third-party imagery remain subject to the rights and terms of their respective owners or providers. Display of a manufacturer name or mark does not imply endorsement.
MOTwise is an independent service and is not DVSA, DVLA or GOV.UK and is not presented as being endorsed by them. Where official data or links are used, MOTwise identifies the source and keeps its own analysis separate from official records.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. MOTwise does not seek to remove statutory rights or responsibility for failing to provide a service with the care and skill required by law. Subject to those rights, the service is decision support and you remain responsible for the final purchase decision and independent checks.
If you use MOTwise as a consumer, you may have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other UK consumer-protection law. These terms are additional to, and do not replace or waive, rights that the law gives you.
Our Privacy Notice explains how information is handled when you use MOTwise. Browser-saved vehicles and reports are currently stored on your device unless the product explicitly tells you otherwise.
These terms do not deprive a UK consumer of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings that apply where they live. Any governing-law or jurisdiction provision used for future commercial services must remain consistent with those mandatory consumer protections.
We may update these terms for legal, security or product reasons. The updated date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes affecting existing paid obligations, if any are introduced in future, must be handled in accordance with applicable law and the relevant customer agreement.
